This article is related to Wade Wilson a brutal killer. He is also known as the Deadpool Killer. He killed two women Kristine Melton age 35 and Diane age 43, on the same day (6th October 2019) even within an hour.
The judge has now sentenced him to death on the 27th of August 2024. Nicholas Thompson, a judge in Lee Circuit court, has announced his sentence.
Thompson has described the murder as an act of cruelty, he also said that there is enough evidence to declare this murder as a preplanned act of cruelty.
Guilty in Previous Court Trials
Before coming to Thompson court, Wilson had already been declared guilty by two other courts. In one court they declared him guilty of felony murder and the other court declared it as preplanned murder.
As per the law of Florida, there must be at least 8 out of 12 votes for a sentence from the jury. In this case, the votes are totally in favor of the sentence. During the hearing process, the attorney of Wade Wilson requested the court for imprisonment instead of the death penalty, as Wilson is not mentally sound. In return the other attorney said that the murder he did was really brutal and pitiless so this is not possible for a mentally insane person, so there should not be any relaxation for the guilty.
The judge in addition said there is no reverse for the death penalty.
The prosecutor describes the murder, Wilson met Melton at the hotel before killing her at her home. He also stole her car and after that Ruiz was found dead in there. The prosecutor explained about the injuries, it was really disturbing.
Final Court Decision
After listening to all the details the judge stated that there is nothing with the mental health of Wilson, he is absolutely fine and there is no relaxation in the death sentence.
Before all those proceedings judge received letters from some women for relaxation in the death penalty as he is not mentally sound. One of the women said he is drug addicted and has a lack of parental support, which is why he is not mentally sound.
